Conditions, access, and honest warnings.
- A short loop across the base of the cinder cone through the lava field it produced.
- Climbing the cone itself is prohibited. The loop is the closest legal approach.
- Cinder and lava are abrasive and sharp. Closed shoes only, and keep dogs off the rough sections.
