Before you go
Conditions, access, and honest warnings.
- Short but genuinely steep, with slickrock friction climbing rather than walking.
- The free Sedona Shuttle serves this trailhead Thursday through Sunday and daily in peak season. The lot is closed to private cars whenever it runs, and riding it means you do not need a Red Rock Pass.
- Follow the painted basket cairns. People routinely lose the route on the open rock.
